Banana & Spinach Smoothie
This is such a simple and tasty smoothie, with only 4 ingredients! Don’t let the spinach put you off, with the right ratio of banana, spinach & liquid, the spinach taste is negligible. It’s a sneaky way of eating more veggies throughout the day.
On the low-FODMAP diet, it is recommended to limit to 1 cup of fruit per snack/meal even on 'safe' fruits (fruits with minimal excess fructose). So make sure that if you have more than 2 cups of banana you divide the recipe into more than 2 servings (if you find you are affected by fructose.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2-3 (depending on serving size preference)
3 x bananas (medium size)
2-cups almond milk (can substitute with any other preferred milk or water)
¼-cup almonds (optional)
- Wash spinach
- Peel & chop banana
- Place all ingredients in blender
- Blend until smooth!
Add more liquid once the mixture is combined if you like the consistency more runny.
